The brief
A local government body needed six blocks of a school campus re-roofed after years of monsoon leaks had damaged classroom ceilings. The only possible construction window was the school's term break — and the reopening date was fixed. There was no flexibility to extend into term time with students on campus.
The challenge
Re-roofing six separate blocks — including safe removal of aging asbestos sheeting under regulatory disposal requirements — is normally sequenced block by block. Done that way, this project would have run well past the reopening date.
Our approach
Instead of a sequential block-by-block approach, we split the crew across all six blocks in parallel from day one, with a dedicated asbestos-removal team working ahead of the roofing crews. Ceiling repair and repainting followed immediately behind roofing on each block, rather than waiting for all six roofs to finish first.

- New corrugated metal roofing across all six blocks

- Gutter and downpipe renewal to prevent future water pooling
The result
All six blocks were re-roofed, repaired, and repainted in three weeks — inside the term break, with the school reopening on schedule and no classrooms out of use.
